Ewan's Musical Journey
Travelling the world Mandolin in hand, he sets forth to seek nooks to learn through music as his tool and craft for cultural exchange. Writing is a means for liberating the soul and the mind and Ewan not only writes but works with others to help develop writing in both English and Gaelic. He blends various genres in his own music (most notably Folk, Celtic, Old Country Bluegrass with a splash of musical theatre) and has written for theatre (Fantastic Life of Mini Rubinski), and has most notably played with award winning Bluegrass band The Southern Tenant Folk Union as well as psych-Funk Rock band Ruby and the Emeralds.
A second generation puppeteer, musician, and Gaelic and English songwriter with four solo albums to date, Ewan broke in his music with shows across Canada and Europe since 2015 and prior to that as ex-lead singer of award winning Edinburgh collective Southern Tenant Folk Union, psychedelic funk outfit Ruby & The Emeralds and with live and recorded theatre soundtracks since age 16.
